Me and me sister have been invited to a market in Holland.
One could find Kibbeling-that's baked fish-,new clothes and mountains of fabric.I found a white linen fabric which is like a canal/pipe/tube,I don't know how to say it better, two elastic ribbons and a ribbon with floral print. All was oh so cheap !

The linen.I got into it to show that it's a tunnel.

This purdy ribbon will serve as a belt or as the seam of my planned linen skirt.

It was a good day,I am confident.
I met my dearest best friend,we sat down by a river and talked.A good thing.
A goodnight to everyone.

On my search for Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart I found this VERY interesting..graphic.
I wonder how much of it is close to truth in the U.S.This is not meant as an America-critique.

It really made me laugh...partly.

Good Weekend - Bad Weekend

It's just a harmonic and perfect time when we 5 sisters are together strolling over the fleamarket or simply sitting on the meadow when it's hot, burning our necks because we have been abandonned from the house. We can do tricks with our hands and fingers,we make faces all the time and noone is the leader.People fall to their knees when they see us.(Really!)
It doesn't matter when 3 out of 5 want to buy stupid girly-princess-movies for 1 € on the flea market, everyone pays their percentage.
Yes,we were on the flea market on saturday.I want to make them see what treasures can be found.Surprisingly,my second youngest half-sister found a bag & asked for going there every weekend. We also bought quite a lot of videos and DVD's.
This time it was more looking for this boy that leads the cars to their places at 5.30 am.My eyes had a hard time with this distraction but nonetheless I managed to find some interesting pieces.
This looks like a dirndl,a bavarian dress, and I don't quite know what to do with it.
I'm helpless.I don't know how to turn my photos. This here is the pattern of the dress,my shoulder.
This belt was pretty eye-catching.It has these two golden pendants,I have never seen such a thing on belts.Had to have it,it was just 1€.
The last things I bought were a book by Franz Kafka and The Maltese Falcon with the V-chinned Humphrey Bogart on its front.
I read this book on the terrace yesterday night.Chet Baker-like music was playing somewhere, very silent, the sky was black but still it was warm.Such a perfect evening.
'I'm a fool to want you' by Billie Holiday is my recommendation.

It is 10 am.In 5 hours and 30 minutes I will have my last test. It's the worst of all. There will be 4 people sitting in a big, silent room, watching me,listening to all I say and asking me questions I might not be able to answer.

I can talk about Bad Governances, about Yucatán,I know that East Timor is the least developed country in the world, the Grameen Bank helps poor people in Bangladesh-it's a good invention!-,I know the blue banana in Europe that crosses London,Brussels,Frankfurt,Munich,Milano,Bologna and Rome,north-to-south-disparities and west-to-east-disparities,cities in the Middleage had a church in the center and a market place, then came a circle around it where people lived and worked and everything was surrounded by the town wall,I know gentrification, urbanization, suburbanization, fragmentation, outsourcing, agglomeration, first to fifth world, the Human Development Index, the evil Terms of Trade, gated communities, slums, pavement dwellers.

Might not be enough.

For this occasion I was looking for something very comfortable, I won't allow myself to concentrate on my clothes more than on Geography.

I'm off to my learning table now where my coffee is waiting.

As I can't figure how this here works we'll have another post for further photos of our findings ,,

First this dress. I plan to cut the lower part of this dress to make it a jacket.

This is a skirt that I'm about to shorten.I'm not sure about it.Very vain and stylish.
Same goes for this bag.

A flat and un-vain bag,quite simple.

Both bags for 9,-
Today was very sunny but windy. The flea market was rather disappointing. Most booths were just to sell cell phones, cleaning products or technical hullabaloo.Either way we found 5 pieces and a lumberjack shirt which doesn't look as we planned. It's so warming and soft anyways.
The air was full of polls, thank God we're not allergic,so little white pieces flew around everywhere, the pavement was like a foamy carpet.
A goodnight!
Well,my sisdaw and I decided to make a blog about our flea market finds.Saturday we worked there and made some money but we bought new old things the same day. Here is what we found, plus the finds from today:

This is just a simple blue somehwat BUT I plan to paint birds on it,light blue.
This jacket was just 2 BUCKS I guess and after I'll have fixed the collar,it'll look so nice.
This skirt has already been shortened (within an hour!) and with the belt that I thrifted as well it looks as I wanted it to.
This coat...it was just 3 € so I thought I'd take it.I mean I see how old-fashioned it looks but I'll try to shorten it and make it a cosy, slackly jacket.
